Welcome back to another installment of my newest Disney World Series! Today we are talking all things packing and pre-trip shopping for a summer 2026 trip to Walt Disney World!
I sat down and filmed the whole process of packing my suitcase a few weeks before our trip, but I wanted to put it in writing here too so that you have access to all of the links for the things that I talked about in the video.
As a side note, all of these links are non-affiliate, which means you can shop with confidence knowing that these are my true opinions. ;) Let’s get into it!

Footwear:
Listen… before my first Disney trip I heard nothing but horror stories about how much your feet would hurt and how you shouldn’t wear anything but tennis shoes. I followed that advice in Universal Studios and I was miserable because I am a flipflop girl through and through. I took the risk and wore Birkenstocks in WDW last year and I was 100% fine. My advice is A) You’re feet will be sore no matter what, so what whatever shoes you feel best in. B) If you wear flip flops most of the time anyway, you will definitely be fine. C) It never hurts to alternate shoes so bring a few pair. D) Take care of your feet. Use the hot tub/tub/shower at your resort, use icy hot/magnesium/etc. at night before bed, elevate your feet when you get back to the room, etc.
With all of that being said… here are the shoes I’m bringing for summer in Walt Disney World.

Other Things:
Travel Steamer, Amazon
If you are staying deluxe at Disney at steamer is included in your room, however if you are staying moderate or value they only include irons. I prefer to steam my clothes, especially after they have been crammed in a suite case. So I just picked up this collapsible travel steamer from Amazon.
Disney Gift Cards, Sam’s Club / Target
This has to be my biggest Disney tip! If you have a Sam’s Club Membership or a Target Red Card, buy Disney gift cards to pay for your trip and/or cover your spending while you’re there. It saves you about 5% at either retailer, and the best value is the $500 giftcard. It may not sound like huge savings, but it’s basically free money. And free money means extra Disney money.
Also, if you want to use it for mobile ordering food in the parks, you can! This answer was unclear before I went last year, but I tried it for myself and it works. The only down side is that you can’t load the gift card into the app, you have to type in the number every time. However, you can type the card number into the notes app on your phone for quick copy and pasting at check out.
Fuel Rods, Amazon
These are re-chargable fuel banks, but the added bonus is that you can exchange them for free in the parks if you run out of charge.
Extra Charge Blocks, Amazon
These are a life saver, especially if you travel with extra tech. The built in USB ports in our room at Caribbean Beach Resort did not work last year so I was especially glad that I had extra dual-port charging blocks. These are so useful for phones, magic bands, vlog gear, etc.
Travel Fan, Amazon
I was super impressed by this fan for the price! For under $20 it is compact but so powerful!
Conclussion:
That’s it for what I am buying and packing to take to Walt Disney World for summer 2026! I hope this info was helpful for you if you are planning a trip to the magic some time soon.
There may be a few more bits and pieces added in to my suitecase before we hit the road, but this is the main chunk of what I am taking. If you want to see these outfits come together and follow along for our trip make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel for my upcoming vlog series, and follow along here for more magic, memories, and mouse-wear!
